Claude Hamel joined HNA in November 2011 where he became a quality control manager. He was made a partner in 2014. In addition to overseeing the application of the firm’s quality control policy and procedures, Claude is in charge of the ongoing training program, conducts research and advises professional members regarding accounting and assurance standards.
Holder of a Master Degree in Applied Accounting (MPA), Claude is also a member of the Ordre des comptables professionnels agréés du Québec. His final essay was entitled “Assessing Small and Medium-sized Businesses: An Observation on North American Practices”.
Leading a career in firms since 1984, notably as head of several large-scale mandates, Claude has a vast experience and a theoretical and practical expertise in professional standards. Claude sits on various committees, including the committee of the Ordre des comptables professionnels agréés du Québec. He also actively contributes to the firm’s professional standards committee.
