Before joining the HNA team as a senior director in September 2019, Martin Cardinal spent nearly nine years working in world-class accounting firms. He became a partner at HNA in 2023.
Martin has a master’s degree in Law, Tax Option, and is a member of the Ordre des comptables professionnels agrees du Québec (CPA). He specializes in several areas of taxation, including tax reorganization, mergers and acquisitions, and tax compliance. Because of his expertise in the field, he frequently attends tax conferences and seminars as a speaker.
He was co-chair of the Canadian Tax Foundation (CTF) Young Practitioners from June 2015 to June 2017 and served as a guest member of the CTF’s Board of Governors during the same period.
Martin is also a member of the Association de planification fiscale et financière (APFF) and currently sits on the APFF’s Strategy Committee.
